Cyclist dies in A614 'hit and run'

A female cyclist has died following a collision with a heavy goods vehicle on the A614 Thorpe Road, Howden.

Officers were called at 7.40am today by ambulance crews who treated her at the scene.

Humberside Police say the HGV did not stop and they are appealing for information to help them trace the vehicle, which was said to be mainly red.

Road closures are in place between Howden and Holme on Spalding Moor.
