Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn and Shadow Business Secretary Angela Eagle will visit Tata Steel in Scunthorpe today.
The pair will meet with management at the site, and take a tour of the section of the factory that is set to be mothballed.
They will also meet with a group of steelworkers whose jobs are under threat after the announcement that 900 jobs are set to go at the plant.
There are hopes that the jobs could be saved in the UK steel industry with potential sale of Scunthorpe-based business.
