A women's rights activist who is due to be deported to Saudi Arabia later this week, has broken down and wept at a Home Office detention centre as she told Calendar of her plight.
Raja Khouja, aged 56 and 67-year-old Mahmoud Alhassan, who have been living in Sheffield, had come to the UK on Holiday from Syria when the war broke out, making it impossible for them to return.
The Home Office wants to deport the pair to Saudi Arabia, where Mahmoud was born, but Raja says she has received death threats from the country. Victoria Whittam reports.
