Police investigating the stabbing of a teacher at a school in Bradford yesterday have issued the following update:
Police are continuing today to question a 14-year-old boy who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder, following an incident at Dixons Kings Academy in Bradford.
The victim, a 50-year-old man, remains in hospital today, where he continues to recover from his injuries.
His family have said they will not be speaking to the media and have requested that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
Police would also like to ask the public and the media to refrain from speculating about the arrested person's identity, as any attempt to identify this person via social media or otherwise may prejudice court proceedings.
Video has emerged appearing to show the moment a 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of the attempted murder of a Bradford schoolteacher.
Dixons Kings Academy, formerly known as Kings Science Academy opened as a free school in September 2011.
