Hull singer Calum Scott has finished in sixth place in tonight's final of Britain's Got Talent. The 26 year old had stumbled over his words in his performance earlier in the evening with Simon Cowell saying he hoped the public would judge him on the second half, rather than the first half of his performance of 'Diamonds in the Sky':
The competition was won by Jules O'Dwyer and her performing dog Matisse who will now perform at the Royal Variety Performance and go home with a prize of £250,000.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
This Evening and Tonight: Showers or longer spells of rain are forecast through the evening and night.
For the second day running there were no deaths of people who tested positive for coronavirus in Scotland.
