Ferocious winds have been battering the region, with gales in excess of 90 miles an hour in parts of South Yorkshire. Homes have been left without power and there has been disruption to road and air travel. Tina Gelder reports.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
