Witness: Castleford flood levels 'shocking'

The fire service says it's received one hundred and sixty emergency calls.

Castleford is one of the areas worst affected. Torrential rain causing car parks and streets to look more like rivers.

Several roads have been closed - with some vehicles submerged. Elsewhere part of Bradford hospital's A&E department had to be pumped out, and the Prince of Wales hospice in Pontefract has been unable to keep the flood waters at bay.

In Castleford one eyewitness told us the downpour hit without warning
