Police have recovered a body from a quarry in South Yorkshire after a man went missing while swimming last night. Emergency services were called to the quarry, known locally as Clay Lake, off Hurst Lane, Auckley, just after 9pm yesterday when the man's friends reported him missing. This afternoon underwater divers recovered a body from the water, Martin Fisher reports.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
