The takeover of Doncaster Rovers is off according to Louis Tomlinson's business partner. John Ryan and Louis Tomlinson have not passed the Football League's fit and proper person's test. The takeover was NOT dependant on the crowd-funding project.
ITV Calendar understands that a deal for One Direction singer, Louis Tomlinson, to buy Doncaster Rovers has been completed.
According to sources, Tomlinson, along with former owner John Ryan, have reached an agreement to purchase the club, although the formalities of the deal will not be confirmed until July.
Doncaster manager Paul Dickov has been impressed by Louis Tomlinson's passion for the club and believes the takeover can provide success.
