The takeover of Doncaster Rovers is off according to Louis Tomlinson's business partner. John Ryan and Louis Tomlinson have not passed the Football League's fit and proper person's test. The takeover was NOT dependant on the crowd-funding project.
ITV Calendar understands a press conference will be held on Thursday afternoon to formally announce the deal.
According to sources, One Direction singer, Louis Tomlinson, along with former owner John Ryan, have reached an agreement to purchase the club, although the formalities of the deal will not be confirmed until July.
Doncaster manager Paul Dickov has been impressed by Louis Tomlinson's passion for the club and believes the takeover can provide success.
