Headingley stadium redevelopment

Yorkshire County Cricket Club has unveiled ambitious plans to transform Headingley Cricket Ground with the installation of floodlights and the rebuilding of the North/South Stand. The capacity of the ground will increase from 17,000 to 20,000.

Investment in Headingley stadium 'vital' says cricket boss

A new £50m redevelopment plan for their Headingley stadium in Leeds has been revealed.

The first phase will include permanent floodlights and this new shared stand with the Leeds Rhinos rugby ground.

Later phases will involve a new players' pavilion next to the recently built Carnegie pavilion, and roofing on two more of the existing stands.

No time scale has been put on the project.
