Man killed in North Yorkshire rail crash named
A man who died when his car was struck by a passenger train at a crossing on the Scarborough to York line has been named as 77-year-old Eric Ireland.
Police name victim of Rillington train crash
The man who died after his car was hit by a train at a crossing in North Yorkshire has been named as Eric Ireland.
The 77-year-old was from Moorsholme in Scampston. Police say they are working to support his family.
British Transport Police are still investigating how the vehicle came to be on the tracks at the time.
