The family of Tony Bland who died following the Hillsborough disaster have been paying tribute to him today at the inquest into the tragedy. Tony was one of the last people to die after being in a coma for almost four years.

The family of Tony Bland who died following the Hillsborough disaster have paid tribute to him at the inquest into the tragedy. Tony Bland died after being in a coma for almost four years. 96 victims died in the disaster at Sheffield Wednesday's stadium in April 1989.

A statement describing Tony was read out to the jury:

"Tony lost his life on 15 April 1989, he died in March 1993 in hospital four years later in March 1993. Tony is remembered by many and will aways be loved and missed."
