The veteran Labour politician and former Chesterfield MP Tony Benn will make his final journey today - to the Palace of Westminster where his coffin will stay overnight, ahead of his funeral tomorrow. His burial is expected to take place at the family estate in Essex.
Mr Benn had long-standing connections to the area, with his family owning Stansgate Abbey Farm on the River Blackwater and he has previously stated that he would also like to be buried next to his wife on the river banks.
