Police searching for missing York man, Ben Clarkson, have found a body in the river near where he disappeared.
Family confirm body found in river is of missing man
The family of a shop worker from York have confirmed that his body has been found in a river in the city, almost three weeks after he disappeared on a night out.
There had been no trace of Ben Clarkson, 22, since he was last seen leaving a nightclub in the city in the early hours of March 2.
This afternoon, police divers recovered the body of man in the River Foss close to where Ben was last seen on CCTV. North Yorkshire Police have not formally released the identity of the body, but tonight, Ben's girlfriend, Rachel Peatfield, confirmed to ITV News that it was Ben.
