Wakefield Westgates' new £8m train station has been blessed. The Bishop of Wakefield, The Right Reverend Stephen Platten and the Railway Chaplain, the Reverent Dr Stephen Sorby were at the station for its official opening this morning.
The investment at Wakefield follows significant station modernisation projects on the route at London King's Cross and Peterborough.
