British Empire Medal for Tony and Ruth

Tony and Ruth Knowles, from Sutton on Sea, receive the British Empire Medal for the fundraising they have carried out in memory of the daughter they lost.

Since the death of Emma Jayne to a brain tumour in 1998, the couple have raised more than a hundred and thirty thousand pounds for the Neurological Unit at Hull Royal Infirmary.
