Festive lift for 150 shoe shop workers

More than 150 staff at Bradford-based Barratts have had a festive boost with the news that York-based high street chain Pavers has bought 14 shops from the failed shoe retailer.

Barratts, which had 75 stores and 23 concessions across the UK and Ireland, went into administration last month.

Pavers has indicated that it would like to acquire a further five to ten Barratts stores.
