A 42-year-old man is due to appear at York Magistrates' Court today charged with assault following an incident at York Minster on Sunday. The man, who is of no fixed address, has also been charged with engaging in violent behaviour in a church.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
