Toddler left for dead in Rotherham hit-and-run

A 3-year-old girl is in hospital after being knocked down by three off-road motorcycles in Rotherham.

She was getting off a bus yesterday afternoon with her mother and crossing Ridgeway, near to the junction of Laudsdale Road, when she hit. The motorcyclists did not stop.

The toddler was airlifted to Sheffield Children's Hospital with serious head injuries and cuts and bruises.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw the hit-and-run ,or who knows who any of the riders are.

This is a very serious incident when a very young girl was struck by a motorcycle and left for dead in the middle of the road. The victim here is the little girl so I hope nobody is thinking of protecting the riders. If anybody knows who these people are, I ask that they come forward and let us know, so that we can deal with them.
