Emmerdale cast and crew members are paying tribute to the actor Richard Thorp at his memorial service today. He played the character of Alan Turner until his death in May. The service is taking place at Leeds Minster this afternoon.
Emmerdale's Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard, has been sharing his memories of working with Richard Thorp. The pair's characters shared many scenes over the last 30 years and Chris says Richard will be sorely missed. He has described his co-star as genial and a delightful human being.
