A memorial featuring the original pit wheel of Silverwood Colliery in South Yorkshire is unveiled.
Miners of Silverwood Colliery remembered
Almost 20 years ago Silverwood Colliery in South Yorkshire closed down leaving hundreds of men looking for work. The area has since been transformed into a nature reserve but people living nearby haven't forgotten their mining roots.
Today they unveiled a memorial both to the miners who worked at the colliery and to those who lost their lives.
