Carolyn Woodward has paid tribute to her fiancé David Williams, calling him ‘her rock’. He died when the car he was travelling in was struck by a train on Great Coates level crossing.
I am so devastated at the loss of my most gorgeous partner Dave. He was my rock, my best friend, the most caring man I have ever known. He loved family life and was devoted to the grandchildren.
We only moved to the area last January from Blackpool and Dave loved it here. He enjoyed working at the Immingham Docks and made a lot of very special friends. He was a very friendly person, everyone loved Dave .We thought we would have a lot more years together.
We have a dog that was more than fond of Dave, which he had trained to do tricks. Dave was a very patient man and he devoted his life to us.
Life is going to be so empty without him. I will love him forever and I send my condolences to Paul’s family and friends.”
