Tributes after level crossing crash
tributes have been paid to two people who died after a car was hit by a train on a level crossing near Grimsby.
Former railway worker: level crossing deaths 'an accident waiting to happen'
Safety work is continuing at the rail crossing at Great Coates, near Grimsby, where two men were killed when their car was hit by a train travelling at 60 mph. British Transport Police say they're keeping anopen mind about the tragedy but add that the crossing was working correctly.
A former railway worker who lives nearby says it was "an accident waiting to happen" because people regularly ignore warning lights at the automatic half-barrier crossing.
