Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of James Brodie. Brodie, who was 19, is believed to have gone missing shortly after jeweller Marian Bates was shot dead during a robbery in Nottingham in 2003. He has not made any contact with family or friends in more than nine years.
The men, aged 32 and 31, were arrested early today and will be questioned throughout the day. The arrests come as searches at Maize Farm, in East Heckington, Lincolnshire, continue.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
