Henry went missing from his coop in Leeds after Fred released him in France in May for a race.
Fred thought he'd lost him for good until he got a call all the way from the Bahamas to say Henry had been discovered alive and well, apparently enjoying a "holiday."
The pigeon was indentified by a wing ring with his Leeds telephone number on him.
Since the phone call, Fred has been kept up-to-date with his progress with emails and pictures and could be reuinited with him this September.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
