Nun's plans for seven metre cross

A nun from Lincolnshire has submitted plans to build a seven metre-high cross in her back garden. Sister Mary Michael from North Hykeham hopes it will be "a symbol of hope" for the county.

A nun from Lincolnshire has submitted plans for a 7 metre high crossin her back garden. The white and blue structure would be illuminatedand made of metal. Sister Mary Michael wants it to be a symbol of hopefor the county.

Sister Mary first hit the news in 2006 when she held a prayer vigiloutside the premiere of The Da Vinci Code at the Cannes Film Festival.Her latest plan is already causing further controversy with someneighbours objecting.
