Knaresborough crowned 'Best Dressed' town of Le Tour
It was crowned 'Best Dressed' town of the Tour de France and yesterday Knaresborough well and truly showed off what it has to offer.
Thousands lined the streets to watch the racers pass through, and they were ready with painted faces, painted bikes and even painted houses:

Tour is the 'beginning of great things' for Knaresborough
Knaresborough's Mayor, Tony Handley, says the town will be cheering every rider as today's Tour de France passes through.
Mr Handley told ITV Calendar that painting his house polka-dot was "the best forty quid I've ever spent" and says the tour is the 'beginning of great things' for Knaresborough.
When it isn't polka-dot, it's yellow, and one canny resident has painted some handy warnings for the cyclists:
