Man charged in connection with fatal shooting in Melton
A man has been charged in connection with a shooting at an address in the village of Melton. The man killed has been identified as 38-year-old Jonathan Smith from Doncaster.

Man in court charged over Melton murder
A 54-year-old man has appeared in court charged with a murder in Melton.
Jonathan Smith from Doncaster died from gun shot wounds at a house in the village on Tuesday evening. Peter Guy, from Melton Old Road, appeared at Beverley Magistrates Court today. He is also charged with possession of a firearm. He was remanded in custody.
Man charged in connection with Melton murder
A 54-year-old man has been charged in connection with a murder in Melton on Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as Jonathan Smith, 38, from the Doncaster area.
A post-mortem confirmed that Mr Smith died from gun shot wounds.
Peter Guy, 54, who lives in the Melton area, has been charged in connection with his murder and is due to appear at Beverley Magistrates Court tomorrow.
The 15-year-old boy also arrested following the incident has been charged with a section 18 assault and appeared in court earlier today.
A third man arrested has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police continue to question trio over Melton
Police investigating the murder of a man in Melton, East Yorkshire on Tuesday are continuing to question three people in connection with the incident.
The trio, two men aged 54 and 34, and a 15 year old boy remain in police custody as enquiries continue. Officers distributed letters to keep residents in the area informed yesterday, while the scene remains cordoned off.

Murder investigation underway in Melton
Humberside Police have begun a murder investigation after the death of a man after a domestic dispute in Melton, East Yorkshire.
A second man, aged 54, was also found with injuries at the property on Old Melton Road and is being questioned by police.
Another man, aged 34 and a boy aged 15 were arrested and remain in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Wendy North who is leading the investigation said:
"We would like to stress that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this isolated incident which appears to have resulted from a domestic dispute involving members of an extended family living at or visiting the address."

One man dead and another hurt in suspected shooting in East Yorkshire
Three people have been arrested in connection with what is believed to be a shooting in Melton, East Yorkshire.
One neighbour told Calendar that he heard "two big bangs" at about 5pm on Tuesday.
Paramedics treated a man found at the address with serious wounds but he died at the scene.
A second man was also hurt but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Old Melton Road was closed by armed police but it has since reopened.
People in the area said they were shocked at what had happened in what is described as a quiet village with a close knit community.
Man dies after disturbance in Melton
A man has died after a disturbance in the village of Melton.
Police were called out to Melton Old Road at around 5pm following reports of a disturbance possibly involving a firearm. A man was found at an address with serious wounds, but despite treatment by paramedics he was pronounced dead.
A second man was also injured and received treatment, but his injuries are not life threatening.
Three men have been arrested.
