Ben was reported missing on Sunday 2 March after failing to return home from a night out in the city centre.

Yesterday Friday March 21st 2014, police divers recovered the body of a man in the River Foss close to where Ben was last seen on CCTV. Police have not formally released the identity of the body, though Ben's girlfriend Rachel Peatfield, confirmed it was Ben.

The family of a shop worker from York have confirmed that his body has been found in a river in the city, almost three weeks after he disappeared on a night out.

This afternoon, police divers recovered the body of man in the River Foss close to where Ben was last seen on CCTV. North Yorkshire Police have not formally released the identity of the body, but tonight, Ben's girlfriend, Rachel Peatfield, confirmed to ITV News that it was Ben.
Volunteers offer help in search for Ben Clarkson
Volunteers are to take part in another search for missing York man Ben Clarkson today. The 22-year-old was last seen in Layerthorpe area at the start of the month.
Police appeal for potential witness in search for Ben Clarkson
Police searching missing Ben Clarkson have thanked one man for coming forward, but still need to trace another potential witness.
The 18-year-old from York confirmed he spoke with Ben and saw him outside a club at 3am. He confirmed he is not the man seen walking along Layerthorpe at the same time as Ben.
Ben, 22, has not been seen since March 2.
The person officers are asking to come forward is a white man, wearing a light coloured jacket with dark trousers and shoes.
He walked along Stonebow, towards the Foss Islands Road junction, on the opposite side of the road to Ben. A short time later, he took the same route as Ben when they walk past National Windscreens, Layerthorpe.
Police trace man in CCTV appeal for missing Ben
Police searching for missing York man, Ben Clarkson, have traced one of the men they were looking to speak to in their enquiries.
The 18-year-old York man came forward after his image was released on Monday. He confirmed that he spoke with Ben in Fibbers and saw him outside the club at around 3am. He also confirmed that he is not the man who was seen walking along Layerthorpe at the same time as Ben.
Police are still looking for a man wearing a light coloured jacket with dark trousers and shoes who walked along Stonebow, towards the Foss Islands Road junction, on the opposite side of the road to Ben.
Ben has not been seen since Sunday 2 March.
