Snowboarder Jamie Nicholls from Bradford who came sixth in the first-ever Olympic Winter Games slopestyle final in Russia has been talking about his performance in the competition.
"I did the best I could do. That was the best run of my life. Today is insane, the standard of riding was unreal. I was there (the medal positions) for a while but I just knew it wasn't going to be. To be in that mix was incredible."

Winter Olympic medal dreams over for Bradford snowboarder
Jamie Nicholls has missed out on a medal for Great Britain in the first ever snowboard slopestyle event at the Winter Olympics.
The Bradford athlete at one point looked set to be in line for winning bronze but a shaky second run saw him fail to better his 85.50 score first time around and he was then overtaken eventually finishing sixth.

The 20-year-old first learned his sport, not in the Alps or even the snow of the Scottish mountains but on the plastic slope at the Halifax Snowsports Centre.
