Katie: I'm gutted over medal miss

Sheffield skier, Katie Summerhayes, says she is "gutted" over missing out on a medal at the Sochi Winter Olympics.

The teenager came seventh overall, she fell on her first run in the final before scoring 70.60 in her second run:

I'm gutted and there's been tears. It happens, that's our sport and people fall but I'm just gutted.

"I'm still happy with how I skied, so I need to take some positives.

The first run was really slushy and I'm not really sure what happened, I landed a bit back seat and the next thing I was on the floor.

The second run I did I wanted but I put my hands down twice on landing and that's the difference between winning and losing. It's my fault, it's just one of those things.

I was conscious of the conditions but it wasn't really a problem."

Snowboarder Jamie Nicholls from Bradford who came sixth in the first-ever Olympic Winter Games slopestyle final in Russia has been talking about his performance in the competition.

"I did the best I could do. That was the best run of my life. Today is insane, the standard of riding was unreal. I was there (the medal positions) for a while but I just knew it wasn't going to be. To be in that mix was incredible."
