Peaches Geldof facing charges as she names paedophile singer's accomplices
Peaches Geldof could face a criminal investigation after she named two women who allowed their babies to be abused by disgraced rock star Ian Watkins.
The daughter of Boomtown Rats star Bob Geldof posted the names of two women involved in the case on Twitter after reportedly reading them on a US-based website - but has since removed them.
Lostprophets singer Watkins was branded a "determined and committed paedophile" after he pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a string of sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.
The 36-year-old, from Pontypridd, south Wales, plotted the abuse with two mothers, one of whom is from Doncaster, in a series of text and internet messages.
The Attorney General's Office has warned that sex offence victims have automatic lifetime anonymity and publishing details that can lead to their identification is a criminal offence.
Watkins former bandmate tweets relief at "closure"
Former bandmates of paedophile singer Ian Watkins have expressed their relief that justice has been served.
In a statement issued last year, the group said they had only found out about the singer being charged by the police after Watkins' first court appearance at Cardiff Magistrates Court.
The remaining members kept a dignified silence on the matter, despite receiving scores of abusive messages from internet trolls, but lead guitarist Lee Gaze could not hide his relief on a social networking site when learning that Watkins had pleaded guilty.
Gaze tweeted: "That was over quick", followed by, "Thanks for the kind words. At least there is closure now."
Watkins admitted to a string of child sexual abuse charges, along with two women, one who was from Doncaster.

Watkins plotted child abuse with Doncaster mother over text
Rock singer Ian Watkins has been labelled a "determined and committed paedophile" after he pleaded guilty to a string of sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby, aided by a Doncaster mother and another woman.
The former lead singer with multi-million selling band Lostprophets plotted the abuse with the two mothers in a series of text and internet messages in which he spoke of his desire to "cross the line" and to intoxicate one of his victims by blowing crystal-meth smoke into the child's face.
Watkins, 36, from Pontypridd, south Wales, pleaded guilty to a string of sex offences he had previously denied in a last-minute change of plea ahead of what would have been his trial at Cardiff Crown Court.
The charges included sexually touching a one-year-old and encouraging a groupie to abuse her own child during a sordid webcam chat.
Watkins also admitted possessing and making child porn as well as launching the plot to rape a baby.
Doncaster mother admits to abusing her own child with singer
A Doncaster mother has admitted horrific sexual acts against her own baby alongside former rock-star, Ian Watkins.
Watkins and the woman swapped messages where the frontman spoke of his sick desire to "cross the line".
They also spoke of plans to blow crystal-meth smoke into the child's face at a secret meeting in a Cardiff hotel.
And on March 23, Watkins sent the woman a message saying he wanted a "summer of filthy child porn" and how he wanted to take things "to the next level".
The prosecutor, Christopher Clee QC, gave details of a sickening 17-minute video involving Watkins and the woman.
Mr Clee said camcorder footage was shot in a London hotel room which showed Watkins perform a sex act on the child.
Computer analysts found the footage uploaded to an online storage facility.
The woman admitted six offences in total. They included attempting to perform oral sex on her own child as well as aiding and abetting Watkins to try to have full sex with the child. She also pleaded guilty to sexually touching the youngster.
Doncaster mother admits child abuse
A Doncaster mother has pleaded guilty in the case detectives are calling one of the most distressing examples of child abuse that has ever gone before a court.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, admitted to Cardiff Crown Court that she allowed rock star, Ian Watkins, to abuse her own 12-month-old baby.
She was in the dock alongside Watkins - former singer with rock band, Lost Prophets - and another woman, to admit her part in the assaults which have shocked the most hardened detectives.
