The Princess Royal has been in York meeting soldiers from the Second Signal Regiment who've recently returned from Afghanistan. The regiment which last week paraded through the city, provided a vital link of communication to all British forces. Kate Walby reports.

Medals for 2nd Signal Regiment soldiers
Soldiers and officers from the 2nd Signal Regiment who have recently returned from a six month tour of Afghanistan will receive their Operational Service medals today. The ceremony is taking place at Imphal Barracks in York. The 300 soldiers were deployed in Helmand Province and Kabul.
