Appeal to River Hull users over dad missing from Beverley for 11 days
Police searching for a man who has been missing for 11 days want to speak to people who were close to a river on the day he disappeared.
Richard Mason, 55, was last seen walking along the banks of the River Hull, Beverley, on 30 December. Specialist officers, police dogs and underwater search teams have been trying to trace his movements since then.
Ch Insp Owen Stafford, of Humberside Police, said: "We know that Richard walked across Molescroft Pavilion at 9.08am that morning. He is then thought to have walked on Hull Bridge Road, Tickton, before heading east towards the Crown and Anchor pub.
“He was later seen on CCTV heading north along the banks of the River Hull in the direction of High Eske nature reserve at 9.37am. This is the last confirmed sighting of him."
Detectives want to speak to anyone who saw him on the river banks, opposite to the Crown and Anchor pub, between 9.30am and 1.30pm on the day he disappeared, as well as anyone with CCTV.
People are also being urged to check outbuildings and any other sheltered areas.
Mr Mason is 6ft tall with dark brown hair, a bushy beard and is believed to be wearing a tan coat, dark denim trousers and a dark hat.
Ch Insp Stafford added: “I want to offer my thanks to members of the public for their continued support and assistance in our search to locate Richard and to everyone who has come forward with information. Whether you have participated in a search or shared our appeals online, your help has been invaluable."
In a Facebook post on 6 January, Mr Mason's daughter Olivia said the family were "desperately worried".
"We are all so desperately worried about him and want him home, safe and warm," she said.
