Manslaughter charge after man dies of head injuries in Lincoln

Police have named the victim at the centre of a murder investigation as 55-year-old Eddie Roberts.

A man has been charged with the manslaughter of a man who died of serious head injuries in Lincoln.

Eddie Roberts, 55, was found on Carholme Road on Sunday 8 December and died at the scene.

Max Skidmore, 37, has been charged with his manslaughter and is due to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Lincolnshire Police say they are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident.

Officers believe Mr Roberts was walking from the Queen in the West pub on Moor Street in the direction of Carholme Road at some point just prior to 11.10pm when he sustained his injuries.

They are now asking the public for help to piece together his last movements and for anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.
