Lincolnshire Police name victim of fatal assault in Lincoln

Police have named the victim at the centre of a murder investigation as 55-year-old Eddie Roberts.

Police investigating the murder of a man in Lincoln have named the victim as 55-year-old Eddie Roberts.

Mr Roberts was discovered with head injuries on Carholme Road just before 11.30pm on Sunday 8 December. He died at the scene. A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody. Officers believe Mr Roberts was walking from the Queen in the West pub on Moor Street in the direction of Carholme Road at some point just prior to 11.10pm when he was attacked.

They are now asking the public for help to piece together his last movements and for anyone with dash-cam footage to come forward.

They are also asking for information about a white Mercedes X-class pick up truck seen in the area between 9pm and 11.30pm
