Environment Agency investigates mystery foam in Halifax brook

The Environment Agency is investigating after mystery white foam appeared in a stream in Halifax.

Officials attended Holywell Brook, which runs under Station Road in the Calderdale village of Holywell Green, on Wednesday 4 September.

They took samples of the foam for analysis and further investigation.

A spokesperson said: “Work to identify the source and stop the pollution is ongoing.”
