Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has urged the club's fans to raise £2million to save the club from a multi-window transfer embargo.Mr Chansiri has also admitted the Championship club's players and staff may not get paid due to "cash-flow issues".The English Football League (EFL) confirmed the Owls were being placed under a registration embargo - meaning they cannot register any more players to their squad - on 27 October due to the club not having paid its outstanding debt to HMRC. Mr Chansiri has asked fans to raise £2 million, enough, he says, to "cover everything, HMRC and the wages".In an interview with the Sheffield Star he said: "If 20,000 gave £100 then it's £2million, and it'd be clear - so we can finish it."He added that the club would be hit with an embargo for three transfer windows if the funds are not raised by 10 November.Mr Chansiri hopes raising the money will avoid making the club "worse off". A consortium led by Thai businessman Chansiri bought Wednesday from Milan Mandarić for £37.5m in 2015.
