Woman, 19, arrested after man dies in collision in Horbury

A 19 year old woman has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in a collision.

It happened in the early hours of this morning (Saturday 13 November) on the B6128 Wakefield Road when a silver Vauxhall Corsa lost control while on a bend near Northfield Lane and then collided with a parked car and a wall.

A 20 year old man who was the front seat passenger in the car suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital but died later.

A 19-year-old woman is being questioned on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink/drug driving offences.

Road closures are in place while investigation and recovery work continues at the scene.
