Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen and her family embrace the cold snap
As we struggle with the cold snap, spare a thought for those people in some of the most rural parts of our region.
Like Amada Owen - the Yorkshire shepherdess who lives with her husband, Clive, and nine children on one of the most remote farms in the North Yorkshire Dales, along with dogs, horses, ponies and more than 1,000 sheep.
It's fair to say they've been battling the icy conditions for a while at the extreme end of the scale - and Amanda has taken to social media to share some videos and photos of how they're coping.
We managed to pin her down for a chat inbetween all the tending to and feeding of her many animals - and children!
