Man arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder following fatal crash

A man's been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder after a fatal collision in Kirkby-in-Ashfield in Nottinghamshire.

Police were called at around 7.45pm on August 8th following reports of two men with serious injuries.

Emergency crews attempted to treat the 29-year-old victim but he died at the scene. The other man is stable and in hospital.

A woman has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or with any information or dashcam footage, to come forward.

Extra patrols are taking place in the area to provide reassurance.
