Flamingo Land worker airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries
A worker at Flamingo Land theme park in North Yorkshire has been airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries.
Police say they were called to the industrial incident at the tourist attraction near Malton at around 1:30pm by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
A member of maintenance staff suffered leg injuries while working on a ride. The man was airlifted to hospital by the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Police say that although his injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
Flamingo Land recently reopened its doors to visitors after closing during the coronavirus lockdown.
