Two 11-year-old boys detained after reports of vandalism at Hull special school

Two 11-year-old boys have been detained after reports of vandalism at a special school in Hull.

Northcott School, on Dulverton Close in Bransholme, teaches pupils with special educational needs.

Humberside Police said they were called to the school at 1630 on Saturday with reports of two boys on the roof of the building. Both were detained soon after.

A message on the school's Twitter account said the damage amounted to "tens of thousands of pounds".

A fundraising page has also been set up to support the school.
