Investigation into South Yorkshire Police contact prior to woman’s death

An investigation has been launched into the actions of South Yorkshire Police, after a woman died from critical injuries at a house near Doncaster.

Amy-Leanne Stringfellow, who was 26, was found in June.

Terence Papworth, aged 45, of Dryden Road, Balby, has been charged with her murder and is due to appear in court on 30 November.

The Independent Office of Police Conduct will be considering the force's response to incidents reported to them prior to Amy-Leanne's death.
