Up, up and awake - sleeping giants Leeds United are back

Leeds United are back in the Premier League.

The result not only pulled the Terriers six points clear of the Championship relegation zone, but also confirmed a return to the top flight for Leeds.

It has been a long and winding road of twists and turns for the Elland Road club over the last 16 years, involving the heartache of two relegations, dropping down into League One, and FOUR failed play off campaigns.

Leeds legend Gordon Strachan - captain of the 1990 promotion side - says that the Elland Road club will burst into the Premier League as a titan among titans.

Some fans wondered if Leeds United would ever return to the top flight again. Some have seen their children grow up without sharing with them the experience of top class league football
