First Jet2 flight departs Leeds Bradford Airport following coronavirus lockdown
The first Jet2 flight to depart from Leeds Bradford Airport since lockdown took off at just before 10am on Wednesday 15 July, bound for Palma, Majorca.
Posting to Facebook, Leeds Bradford Airport shared a video of the plane taking off, including a flypast from one of the RAF Red Arrows.
On Wednesday, Jet2 flights resumed at airports across the country.
Passengers are being asked to access the Jet2 app, check-in online and download their boarding pass before arriving at the airport.
The airline is operating a reduced flying programme and has issued a statement explaining the extra measures in place to ensure passenger safety.
