A pub in Batley, West Yorkshire, has been forced to close after a customer reportedly tested positive for COVID-19.

The management at The Fox & Hounds, which reopened on Saturday, has posted on Facebook to confirm that a customer who visited the pub on Saturday had called today to "say they’d tested positive for coronavirus."

The post goes on to say that all staff have taken coronavirus tests and the premises will be deep cleaned before it can reopen safely.

Pubs, cafes and hairdressers were among some of the establishments that opened with safety measures in place on Saturday.

On Friday, pictures posted on The Fox & Hounds Facebook page showed safety measures such as social distancing signage and hand sanitiser in place ahead of reopening.

Following closure, management at The Fox & Hounds say they are awaiting further guidance from NHS track and trace.
