'Super Saturday' in full swing across region

There were queues outside restaurants, pubs, cafes and hairdressers today as venues reopened for so-called Super Saturday as the latest changes to lockdown measures took effect.

The threat of rain and drizzle did not seem to dampen the spirits of people looking forward to a pint or a haircut after almost four months.

But it was a very different experience than before lockdown with staff wearing PPE like masks and visors to stop the spread of coronavirus.
