Man arrested after two swans shot and killed in Leeds
A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a two swans were shot dead in Leeds.
The man was arrested by West Yorkshire Police on Tuesday 16 June on suspicion of criminal damage in connection with the incident.
The male and female swans were shot near Knowsthorpe water treatment works, in Pontefract Lane, on Monday 8 June.
Police say the man has since been released under investigation as enquiries continue.
