Man jailed for assault on pregnant woman in her Hull home
A pregnant mum and her young children were subjected to a terrifyingattack by her former partner on 2 March this year.
Dylan Senior, 24, burst into the woman’s Hull home brandishing a knifeand threatened to slit the young mum’s throat.
He then grabbed a scissor blade and put into to the cheek of hisvictim, who was eight months pregnant at the time, and grabbed her bythe throat.
During his attack he smashed doors, pulled a window out of the frameand smashed a mirror.
Senior even went upstairs where the children were sleeping and whenthey started crying he told them to “shut up”.
Senior, of Logan Close, Hull, appeared by video link at Hull CrownCourt on Thursday 11 June for sentencing.
He previously admitted two counts of a threat to kill, one of threatsto damage property, one of malicious communication and one ofharassment, which were committed between 26 February and 3 March,2020.
Tim Savage, defending, admitted it was a serious incident but said thevictims had not suffered long-term harm.

Senior was handed a four-year jail term and given afurther two years on licence as he is considered a danger to otherswhich means he was given a six-year sentence altogether.
